What is X1 Dongle?
Is a wireless serial adapter attaches to the Sonysat DSR4000-5000 making a Class 1 Bluetooth wireless connection, capable of transmitting and updating the firmware up to 300 meters (If paired with similar module). If paired with any other Bluetooth device which has a range up to 100 meters, you will get the effective range of 100 meters.
Also can be used via IKS (Internet Key Service) using the same internet connection as your home computer.
- The adapter is powered by the Serial DB9 from STB.
- Includes 9156 cable (RJ45 to DB9)
- No software driver required.
- Status LED.
- Factory configured to work with the defult scan tool.
No Include power supply.
No more USB flash drive safe time , stay conected !!!!!!!!!!!!!!
This is what I did, at 1st I get it,
1. Plug X1 Dongle to my Settopbox
2. Plug power supply to X1 Dongle
3. Plug the USB BlueTooth to your USB port PC or LP
4. Down at the Windows Start Bar look the small logo
5. Right click at Logo 'Open Blue Tooth Setting"
6. Click at TAB button say "COM Port" click 'Add' then click OK
will pull up the Com Port is not in USE " In my case show COM5.
:: I need to change that Com5 to 1 to 4. In some case will detect 2-3-4..
7. Go to Device at Bluetooth setting click "Add" will show a wizard ,run it will detect all your Bluetooth device you have iin some cases your Cell phone.
8. After is detected all device will show up chose "Fireflay7643" click NEXT , then chose "USE the passkey found in the documentation" and in the white
box type ( 1234) Click next and wizard will run you will see Outgoing port and Incomging port ,
Hit "Finish" then OK
In may case show Comport Outgoing 6 & Incoming 7.
You can set up twice port same # by going to Divice manager.
Now u ready to use Sonysat loader..
