The following is an excerpt from file 2008-08-21_16196721647_sanz, Case 3:2009-cv-01553, Document 6-4, of a Telephone conversation between Defendant Roberto Sanz and a Confidental Informant. This conversation goes into detail of how the "Bulletproof bin" came about.


SANZ: SonicView has -- has developed -- I didn't want to tell you to much about this before --

CI: Yeah.

SANZ: -- but it's been in development for the last six months.

CI: Oh, Yeah.

SANZ: I just kind of one -- just kind of one of the reasons why we're out here. Okay?

CI: Yeah.

SANZ: We developed the card -- okay, you -- you know how the card reader works, right? You know --

CI: Yeah.

SANZ: -- you know the card -- you know how IKS is working, based on the card technology?

CI: Yeah, yeah.

SANZ: Right? And they're using the card, and they're transferring the data basically. What -- sometimes when the regular boot files go down, the IKS is still running because it's on --

CI" Yeah.

SANZ: -- card technology, and the card didn't go down, right?

CI: Uh-huh.

SANZ: So we reversed-engineered the card and the card reader and developed it into a little microchip, okay?

CI: Yeah.

SANZ: And this chip plugs into the Sonicview 360.

CI: Wow.

SANZ: We already have a spot in it because we have been planning it for six months.

CI: Wow.

SANZ: You put this chip inside the Sonicview 360s. This chip --

CI: Yeah.

SANZ: -- is only going to cost us around $15, and we're not going to make any profit on it.

CI: Wow.

SANZ: But what happens is, it doesn't work as a card; it doesn't work as a card reader; it doesn't work as anything like that.

CI: Yeah.

SANZ: We built a machine that will take the card, rewrite the code, the technology --

CI: Yeah.

SANZ: -- and make a bulletproof but for Sonicview.

CI: Oh.

SANZ: And the long end, you have this card in there, which means that the IKS dosen't go down if the card doesn't go down. Sonicview, with that bulletproof chip in, will not go down.

CI: Oh.

SANZ: This is the IKS killer. It's going to shut down Cody, K1 Heros; all of them. K-Box is dead --

CI: Nice.

SANZ: -- Nfusion is dead. We've been testing it for the last few months.

CI: Okay.

SANZ: We already have the prototypes; I'll be able to show you a sample when you get here.

CI: Yep.

SANZ: All right. For the last two months, every time Dish went down, every time that went down, we did not get hit on the bulletproof bin.

CI: How beautiful. Beautiful.

SANZ: This technology, now, we have a few different things in place.

CI: Yeah.

SANZ: We may be able to take that bulletproof binafter we write it, because it's going to take us two hours to write the code --

CI: Yeah.

SANZ: -- for the bulletproof bin with the card technology.

CI: Yeah.

SANZ: I mean, the reason why Viewsat and all these other models go down is because there is something in the card that they didn't exactly copy to the T, so they can change something minor, and everybody goes down. You know what I mean?

CI: Yep, yep, I do.

SANZ: So with this -- with this installed, it's going to be pretty crazy, you know. So --

CI: Yeah.

SANZ: -- let's say the card goes down, and IKS goes down --

CI: Uh-huh.

SANZ: -- then as soon as the card comes back up, we'll have a guaranted bin file for the bulletproof bin in two hours. So let's say they switched to Map-58, okay --

CI: Yep.

SANZ: -- or Nagra3 --

CI: Yep.

SANZ: -- as soon as the card coders hack the cards, just like they did with CoolSat and the card reader back in the days, the Sonicview will be working in two hours.

CI: Oh, beautiful. You know what you --

SANZ: Which means --

CI: -- what you take into account?

SANZ: ViewSat and everybody is going to be down for months, and we're going to be up and running.

All of this is in the past tense and has nothing to do with N3. This was from a D* wiretap transcribed as part of a case filing. How easy we forget that the Jan 7 fix stayed up until it finally was switched over to N3 when eveyone else had to update bin files on a continious basis. IKS killer? Even SV had to resort to IKS for N3.

i would simply be happy with my local channels at this point, can't get anything out in the country no matter how big external antenna so, something would be nice

i still get 1 channel, ION, i hate it, but at the very least, I have some Reba and some old movies with cusswords taking out to watch.

sub = ihub? i just don't like the idea of them having a direct route of identifying me by means of my IP address.
